The 2 of Clubs coordinate
Benny Goodman was born May 30, 1909 (1909-05-30). Month 5 and day 30 give solar value 15, which is the 2 of Clubs (The Collaborative Builder). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day). The year 1909 is unused, so Benny Goodman's 1909 birth year does not move the card. The 2 of Clubs does not predict a Kennedy Center Honor and is not a verdict on Benny Goodman. Quoted system copy for the 2 of Clubs, not a biography of Benny Goodman: You think best with someone else in the room, and you still leave with a position of your own. You think best with others. Benjamin David Goodman was an American jazz clarinetist and bandleader, known as the "King of Swing".
Benny Goodman in the public record
From 1935 until the mid-1940s, Goodman led one of the most popular swing big bands in the United States. His concert at Carnegie Hall in New York City on January 16, 1938, is described by critic Bruce Eder as "the single most important jazz or popular music concert in history: jazz's 'coming out' party to the world of 'respectable' music." Goodman's bands started the careers of many jazz musicians. During an era of racial segregation, he led one of the first integrated jazz groups, his trio and quartet. He continued performing until the end of his life while pursuing an interest in classical music. Goodman was the ninth of twelve children born to poor Jewish emigrants from the Russian Empire. His father, David Goodman, came to the United States in 1892 from Warsaw in partitioned Poland and became a tailor. His mother, Dora Grisinsky, came from Kaunas. They met in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Chicago before Goodman's birth.
