Cal Hubbard's Birth Card: The 4 of Hearts
The Emotional Foundation Builder
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a Hall of Fame induction.
In the record
Robert Calvin Hubbard (October 31, 1900 – October 17, 1977) was an American professional football player and Major League Baseball (MLB) umpire. The birth-card coordinate for October 31 is the 4 of Hearts — a calendar position, not a forecast of a Hall of Fame vote.

The 4 of Hearts coordinate
Cal Hubbard's birthday maps to the 4 of Hearts (The Emotional Foundation Builder). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about induction and not a verdict on Cal Hubbard. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You build a home people can count on, and you leave enough air for feeling to move. Life-direction language from the harvested meaning, not a biography: Your curriculum is learning that a living relationship is unpredictable by nature. You're learning that safety and aliveness aren't opposites. Under-expressed language from the same harvest: You treat control as safety. Everyone gets a role; nothing unscripted is allowed in.
The public formula uses only month and day. Solar value equals fifty-five minus twice the month minus the day. Values one through fifty-two map onto the deck from the Ace of Hearts through the King of Spades. Solar value zero is December 31, published here as the Joker. Card Blueprints does not remap that boundary to the King of Spades on these pages. Leap-day February 29 is computed directly and is not folded onto February 28. The year of birth is unused. No reading is generated and nothing here forecasts a roster, a vote, a championship, or a career. Evidence sentences are copied from the Wikipedia extract without paraphrase. If a Hall of Fame biography or an infobox day disagrees with Wikidata, the person is omitted instead of reconciled by guesswork. Attribution stays on Wikidata, Wikipedia, and the Hall of Fame record. Gregorian day precision is required; Wikidata claims are CC0. Sitelinks and wbgetentities are the identity crosswalk. Conflicts stay uninvented. Remainder dates are not disambiguated by hand.
Cal Hubbard in the public record
After playing college football at Centenary College and Geneva College, Hubbard played in the National Football League (NFL) between 1927 and 1936 for the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Pirates, playing the bulk of his career with the Packers. Hubbard is credited as being one of the inventors of the football position of linebacker. He was also an umpire in the American League (AL) from 1936 to 1951, then worked as an umpire supervisor until 1969. George Halas affectionately called Hubbard the "Big Umpire." To date, Hubbard is the only person to be enshrined in both the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Baseball Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. Cal Hubbard was born in Keytesville, Missouri to parents Robert P. and Sarah "Sallie" (Ford) Hubbard. He grew up in modest means as the son of a small family farmer. Cal graduated from Keytesville High School, but because the school had no football team he also attended one year at Glasgow High School in nearby Glasgow, which did offer football.
