Robert H. Grubbs's Birth Card: The Jack of Clubs
The Creative Messenger
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a Nobel Prize.
In the record
Robert Howard Grubbs ForMemRS (February 27, 1942 – December 19, 2021) was an American chemist and the Victor and Elizabeth Atkins Professor of Chemistry at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, California. The Jack of Clubs coordinate
Robert H. Grubbs's birthday maps to the Jack of Clubs (The Creative Messenger). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a Nobel Prize and not a verdict on Robert H. Grubbs. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You bring a new angle and you let someone pressure-test it before it ships.
Robert H. Grubbs in the public record
He was a co-recipient of the 2005 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on olefin metathesis. Grubbs was elected a member of the National Academy of Engineering in 2015 for developments in catalysts that have enabled commercial products. He was a co-founder of Materia, a university spin-off startup to produce catalysts. Grubbs was born on February 27, 1942, on a farm in Marshall County, Kentucky, midway between Possum Trot and Calvert City. His parents were Howard and Faye (Atwood) Grubbs. Faye was a schoolteacher. After serving in World War II, the family moved to Paducah, Kentucky, where Howard trained as a diesel mechanic, and Robert attended Paducah Tilghman High School. At the University of Florida, Grubbs initially intended to study agriculture chemistry.

Where the record meets the Jack of Clubs
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Robert H. Grubbs, and not a forecast of a Nobel Prize.

Birth card from the month and day. Karma cards are fixed to the birth card. The planetary ruling card comes from the sun sign's ruling planet — the signs with two rulers carry two. The Life Spread is the birth card's fixed row of nine in the Life Spread — the cards that colour each 52-day period for life. Planetary period and long-range cards move year by year and are not shown on a static page.
