William Golding's Birth Card: The 5 of Clubs
The Dynamic Innovator
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a Nobel Prize.
In the record
Sir William Gerald Golding (19 September 1911 – 19 June 1993) was a British novelist, playwright, and poet. The birth-card coordinate for September 19 is the 5 of Clubs — a calendar position, not a forecast of the 1983 Literature prize.
Nobel Prize record

“for his novels which, with the perspicuity of realistic narrative art and the diversity and universality of myth, illuminate the human condition in the world of today”
No one else in this set holds the 1983 Literature prize; William Golding appears here as its sole listed laureate. The award was divided; this laureate's listed portion is 1.
116 other Literature laureates in this set carry a birth-card coordinate.
The 5 of Clubs coordinate
William Golding's birthday maps to the 5 of Clubs (The Dynamic Innovator). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a Nobel Prize and not a verdict on William Golding. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You pressure-test an idea in public and let the better one win.
William Golding in the public record
Best known for his debut novel Lord of the Flies (1954), Golding published another 12 volumes of fiction in his lifetime. In 1980, Golding was awarded the Booker Prize for Rites of Passage, the first novel in what became his sea trilogy, To the Ends of the Earth. Golding was awarded the 1983 Nobel Prize in Literature. As a result of his contributions to literature, Golding was knighted in 1988. He was also a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. In 2008, The Times ranked Golding third on its list of "The 50 greatest British writers since 1945". Son of Alec Golding, a science master at Marlborough Grammar School (1905 to retirement), and Mildred (née Curnoe), William Golding was born on 19 September 1911 at his maternal grandmother's house, 47 Mount Wise, Newquay, Cornwall. The house was known as Karenza, the Cornish word for love, and he spent many childhood holidays there.

Where the record meets the 5 of Clubs
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about William Golding, and not a forecast of a Nobel Prize.

Planetary ruling card, karma and Life Spread
Birth card from the month and day. Karma cards are fixed to the birth card. The planetary ruling card comes from the sun sign's ruling planet — the signs with two rulers carry two. The Life Spread is the birth card's fixed row of nine in the Life Spread — the cards that colour each 52-day period for life. Planetary period and long-range cards move year by year and are not shown on a static page.
