Alessandro Cortini's Birth Card: The 8 of Clubs
The Ambitious Builder
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.
In the record
Alessandro Cortini (born 24 May 1976) is an Italian musician best known for his work with the American industrial band Nine Inch Nails. The birth-card coordinate for May 24 is the 8 of Clubs — a calendar position, not a forecast of the 2020 Performers with Nine Inch Nails induction.

The 8 of Clubs coordinate
Alessandro Cortini's birthday maps to the 8 of Clubs (The Ambitious Builder). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame vote and not a verdict on Alessandro Cortini. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You run a knowledge system other people can follow, and you stand behind the call.
Alessandro Cortini in the public record
He plays modular synthesizers, keyboards, guitar, and bass guitar. Cortini is the first Italian inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2020, when he was inducted as a member of Nine Inch Nails. Cortini was born in Bologna, Italy and raised in Forlì, Italy. Cortini moved from Italy to the United States to study guitar at the Musicians Institute. After graduating, and straying away from the guitar, he decided to focus on keyboards and synths. From 2001 to 2002, Cortini acted as touring guitarist for The Mayfield Four in support of their album Second Skin. In fall 2006, Cortini contributed to the Musicians Institute's Recording Artist Program by acting as advisor for one-on-one training with students. He was also a founding member of Modwheelmood, an electronic/alternative band from Los Angeles, with former Abandoned Pools guitarist Pelle Hillström.

Where the record meets the 9 of Clubs
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Alessandro Cortini, and not a forecast of induction.

Planetary ruling card, karma and Life Spread
Birth card from the month and day. Karma cards are fixed to the birth card. The planetary ruling card comes from the sun sign's ruling planet — the signs with two rulers carry two. The Life Spread is the birth card's fixed row of nine in the Life Spread — the cards that colour each 52-day period for life. Planetary period and long-range cards move year by year and are not shown on a static page.

Trent Reznor stated that Alessandro Cortini "fit in immediately." Reznor also stated that: My first thought when Alessandro walked in was that he didn't look like what I had in mind.
Paired on shared wording: mind, thought.
