David Knopfler's Birth Card: The 4 of Hearts
The Emotional Foundation Builder
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.
In the record

The 4 of Hearts coordinate
David Knopfler's birthday maps to the 4 of Hearts (The Emotional Foundation Builder). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame vote and not a verdict on David Knopfler. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You build a home people can count on, and you leave enough air for feeling to move.
David Knopfler in the public record
Together with his older brother Mark Knopfler, John Illsley, and Pick Withers, he founded the rock band Dire Straits in 1977, serving as rhythm guitarist on their first two albums. After quitting the band in 1980 during the recording of their third album, Knopfler embarked upon a solo career as a recording artist. Knopfler was born in Glasgow, to an English mother, Louisa Mary (née Laidler), a teacher, and a Hungarian Jewish father, Erwin Knopfler, an architect. When Knopfler was four, his family moved to Newcastle upon Tyne, where he grew up and later attended Gosforth Grammar School. By the age of 11, Knopfler owned a guitar, a piano and a drum kit, and by 14 he was playing and singing his own compositions in folk clubs. After graduating from Bristol Polytechnic with an honours degree in Economics, Knopfler became a social worker in London. Knopfler is married to the former American art professor Leslie Stroz, who illustrates much of David's CD artwork. He lives with his family in Wolborough, which is a parish of Newton Abbott in Devon.

Where the record meets the 4 of Hearts
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about David Knopfler, and not a forecast of induction.
