Tony Award record (leading acting)

The Queen of Clubs coordinate

Barnard Hughes's birthday maps to the Queen of Clubs (The Nurturing Leader). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a Tony Award and not a verdict on Barnard Hughes. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You teach from what you actually know, without making people earn the right to hear it.

Barnard Hughes in the public record

His most successful roles came after middle age, and he was often cast as a dithering authority figure or grandfatherly elder. He won the 1978 Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Play. Bernard Aloysius Kiernan Hughes was born in Bedford Hills, New York, on July 16, 1915, the son of Irish immigrants Marcella (née Kiernan) and Owen Hughes. He attended La Salle Academy and Manhattan College in New York City, during which time he worked a series of odd jobs, including a stint as a dockworker and as a salesman at Macy's. He joined the U.S. Army during World War II. Hughes, as he revealed on The Dick Cavett Show, was inspired to become an actor after seeing English actor Dennis King's Broadway run as Richard II in the play Richard of Bordeaux. He asked for his first name to be spelled "Barnard" instead of "Bernard" in his professional credits after a numerologist told him it would help his acting career.

Where the record meets the 3 of Hearts

A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Barnard Hughes, and not a forecast of a Tony.
