The Master Builder

A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a spaceflight.

In the record

John Bennett Herrington (Chickasaw Nation, born September 14, 1958) is a retired United States Naval Aviator, engineer and former NASA astronaut. The birth-card coordinate for September 14 is the 10 of Clubs — a calendar position, not a forecast of a flight assignment.

The 10 of Clubs coordinate

John B. Herrington's birthday maps to the 10 of Clubs (The Master Builder). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a mission and not a verdict on John B. Herrington. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You carry a finished body of knowledge and keep teaching from it.

John B. Herrington in the public record

In 2002, Herrington became the first enrolled citizen of a Native American tribe to fly in space. Herrington was born in Wetumka, Oklahoma, into the Chickasaw Nation. He grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Riverton, Wyoming, and Plano, Texas, where he graduated from Plano Senior High School. After moving to Colorado to pursue a degree, he developed an interest in rock climbing in the Colorado mountains. He earned a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs before receiving his commission in the United States Navy in 1984. To honor his Chickasaw heritage, Herrington, an enrolled citizen of the Chickasaw Nation, carried its flag on his thirteen-day trip to space. The flag had been presented to him by Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby. In 2014, he earned his PhD in education from the University of Idaho.

Where the record meets the 4 of Spades

A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about John B. Herrington, and not a forecast of a spaceflight.

Birth card from the month and day. Karma cards are fixed to the birth card. The planetary ruling card comes from the sun sign's ruling planet — the signs with two rulers carry two. The Life Spread is the birth card's fixed row of nine in the Life Spread — the cards that colour each 52-day period for life. Planetary period and long-range cards move year by year and are not shown on a static page.
