Stephen S. Oswald's Birth Card: The King of Hearts
The Compassionate King
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a spaceflight.
In the record
Stephen Scot Oswald (born June 30, 1951) is an American former pilot and NASA astronaut. The birth-card coordinate for June 30 is the King of Hearts — a calendar position, not a forecast of a flight assignment.
The King of Hearts coordinate
Stephen S. Oswald's birthday maps to the King of Hearts (The Compassionate King). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a mission and not a verdict on Stephen S. Oswald. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You hold emotional authority without hiding behind it.
Stephen S. Oswald in the public record
Born June 30, 1951, in Seattle, Washington, but considers Bellingham, Washington, to be his hometown. He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1969 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 1973. Oswald graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1973, and was designated a Naval Aviator in September 1974. Following training in the A-7 Corsair II aircraft, he flew aboard the aircraft carrier USS Midway from 1975 to 1977. In 1978, Oswald attended the United States Naval Test Pilot School at Patuxent River, Maryland. Upon graduation, he remained at the Naval Air Test Center conducting flying qualities, performance, and propulsion flight tests on the A-7 and F/A-18 Hornet aircraft until 1981. Following tours as an F/A-18 flight instructor and as a catapult officer aboard USS Coral Sea, Oswald resigned from active Navy duty and joined Westinghouse Electric Corporation as a civilian test pilot.

Where the record meets the King of Hearts
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Stephen S. Oswald, and not a forecast of a spaceflight.
