William A. Oefelein's Birth Card: The 7 of Clubs
The Analytical Creator
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a spaceflight.
In the record
William Anthony Oefelein (born March 29, 1965) is an American freelance adventure writer and photographer and former NASA astronaut who, on his only spaceflight, piloted the STS-116 Space Shuttle mission. The birth-card coordinate for March 29 is the 7 of Clubs — a calendar position, not a forecast of a flight assignment.
The 7 of Clubs coordinate
William A. Oefelein's birthday maps to the 7 of Clubs (The Analytical Creator). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a mission and not a verdict on William A. Oefelein. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You take a claim apart until the usable piece is left, then you use it.
William A. Oefelein in the public record
Oefelein gained media attention on February 5, 2007, when fellow astronaut Lisa Nowak was arrested in Florida and charged with attempting to kidnap his girlfriend, U.S. Air Force Captain Colleen Shipman. Nowak later pleaded guilty to felony burglary and misdemeanor battery. Oefelein admitted to a two-year affair with Nowak, and he and Nowak became the first astronauts ever dismissed from NASA. Following the dismissals, NASA created its first astronaut Code of Conduct. Oefelein was born on March 29, 1965, in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, where he flew floatplanes, and graduated from West Anchorage High School in 1983. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Oregon State University in 1988, where he became a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Ten years later he received a Master of Science degree in aviation systems from the University of Tennessee Space Institute.

Where the record meets the 8 of Diamonds
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about William A. Oefelein, and not a forecast of a spaceflight.
