Jean Marsh's Birth Card: The Ace of Spades
The Truth Pioneer
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict an Emmy.
In the record
Jean Lyndsey Torren Marsh (1 July 1934 – 13 April 2025) was an English actress and writer. The birth-card coordinate for July 1 is the Ace of Spades — a calendar position, not a forecast of the 1975 Lead Actress in a Drama Series (Upstairs, Downstairs) win.
Primetime Emmy Lead record
- 1975 Lead Actress in a Drama Series — Upstairs, Downstairs as Rose Buck
The Ace of Spades coordinate
Jean Marsh's birthday maps to the Ace of Spades (The Truth Pioneer). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about an Emmy and not a verdict on Jean Marsh. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You say the true thing early, before it has to become a crisis to be heard.
Jean Marsh in the public record
She co-created and starred in the ITV series Upstairs, Downstairs (1971–1975), for which she won the 1975 Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her performance as Rose Buck. She is also known for three roles in Doctor Who: as Joan of England in The Crusade; Sara Kingdom, a companion of the First Doctor; and a villain opposite the Seventh Doctor. From 1955 to 1960 she was married to Jon Pertwee, who played the Third Doctor in the series.

Where the record meets the 2 of Clubs
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Jean Marsh, and not a forecast of an Emmy.
