Ahmed Zewail's Birth Card: The Queen of Clubs
The Nurturing Leader
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a Nobel Prize.
In the record
Ahmed Hassan Zewail (Arabic: أَحْمَد حَسَن زُوَيْل; February 26, 1946 – August 2, 2016) was an Egyptian-American chemist, known as the "father of femtochemistry". The birth-card coordinate for February 26 is the Queen of Clubs — a calendar position, not a forecast of the 1999 Chemistry prize.
Nobel Prize record
- 1999 The Nobel Prize in Chemistry — for his studies of the transition states of chemical reactions using femtosecond spectroscopy
1999 — The Nobel Prize in Chemistry
“for his studies of the transition states of chemical reactions using femtosecond spectroscopy”
No one else in this set holds the 1999 Chemistry prize; Ahmed Zewail appears here as its sole listed laureate. The award was divided; this laureate's listed portion is 1.
190 other Chemistry laureates in this set carry a birth-card coordinate.
The Queen of Clubs coordinate
Ahmed Zewail's birthday maps to the Queen of Clubs (The Nurturing Leader). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a Nobel Prize and not a verdict on Ahmed Zewail. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You teach from what you actually know, without making people earn the right to hear it.
Ahmed Zewail in the public record
He was awarded the 1999 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on femtochemistry and became the first Egyptian and Arab to win a Nobel Prize in a scientific field, and the first African to win a Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He was a professor of chemistry and physics at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), where he was the first Caltech faculty member to be named the Linus Pauling Chair of Chemical Physics and was the director of the Physical Biology Center for Ultrafast Science and Technology. Ahmed Hassan Zewail was born on February 26, 1946, in Damanhur, Egypt, and was raised in Desouk. He received bachelor's and master's degrees in chemistry from Alexandria University before moving to the United States to complete his PhD at the University of Pennsylvania under the supervision of Robin M. Hochstrasser. After completing his PhD, Zewail did postdoctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley, supervised by Charles B. Harris. Following this, he was awarded a faculty appointment at the California Institute of Technology in 1976, and eventually became the first Linus Pauling Chair in Chemical Physics there.

Where the record meets the Queen of Clubs
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Ahmed Zewail, and not a forecast of a Nobel Prize.

Birth card from the month and day. Karma cards are fixed to the birth card. The planetary ruling card comes from the sun sign's ruling planet — the signs with two rulers carry two. The Life Spread is the birth card's fixed row of nine in the Life Spread — the cards that colour each 52-day period for life. Planetary period and long-range cards move year by year and are not shown on a static page.

FAQ
- What is Ahmed Zewail's birth card?
- The Queen of Clubs. February 26 maps to that card through the public Card Blueprints formula. The year of birth is not used.
