Enrico Fermi's Birth Card: The 8 of Hearts
The Emotional Powerhouse
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a Nobel Prize.
In the record
Enrico Fermi (Italian: [enˈriːko ˈfermi]; 29 September 1901 – 28 November 1954) was an Italian-American physicist, renowned for being the creator of the world's first artificial nuclear reactor, Chicago Pile-1, and a member of the Manhattan Project. The birth-card coordinate for September 29 is the 8 of Hearts — a calendar position, not a forecast of the 1938 Physics prize.

1938 — The Nobel Prize in Physics
“for his demonstrations of the existence of new radioactive elements produced by neutron irradiation, and for his related discovery of nuclear reactions brought about by slow neutrons”
No one else in this set holds the 1938 Physics prize; Enrico Fermi appears here as its sole listed laureate. The award was divided; this laureate's listed portion is 1.
222 other Physics laureates in this set carry a birth-card coordinate.
The 8 of Hearts coordinate
Enrico Fermi's birthday maps to the 8 of Hearts (The Emotional Powerhouse). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a Nobel Prize and not a verdict on Enrico Fermi. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You hold the emotional room without taking it over. People know where they stand.
Enrico Fermi in the public record
He won the 1938 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his demonstrations of the existence of new radioactive elements produced by neutron irradiation, and for his related discovery of nuclear reactions brought about by slow neutrons". He has been called the "architect of the nuclear age" and the "architect of the atomic bomb". He was one of very few physicists to excel in both theoretical and experimental physics. With his colleagues, Fermi filed several patents related to the use of nuclear power, all of which were taken over by the US government. He made significant contributions to the development of statistical mechanics, quantum theory, and nuclear and particle physics. Fermi's first major contribution involved the field of statistical mechanics. After Wolfgang Pauli formulated his exclusion principle in 1925, Fermi followed with a paper in which he applied the principle to an ideal gas, employing a statistical formulation now known as Fermi–Dirac statistics. Today, particles that obey the exclusion principle are called "fermions".

Where the record meets the 7 of Spades
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Enrico Fermi, and not a forecast of a Nobel Prize.

Planetary ruling card, karma and Life Spread
Birth card from the month and day. Karma cards are fixed to the birth card. The planetary ruling card comes from the sun sign's ruling planet — the signs with two rulers carry two. The Life Spread is the birth card's fixed row of nine in the Life Spread — the cards that colour each 52-day period for life. Planetary period and long-range cards move year by year and are not shown on a static page.
You study the hard pattern until you can name it, then you do the next honest thing. Your mind naturally questions everything—claims, beliefs, assumptions. You're the one who asks "how do you know?" Your thinking is critical and probing.
He was on hand when the X-10 Graphite Reactor at Oak Ridge, Tennessee, went critical in 1943, and when the B Reactor at the Hanford Site did so the next year.
Paired on shared wording: critical, next.
Also on the record
- Pauli later postulated the existence of an uncharged invisible particle emitted along with an electron during beta decay, to satisfy the law of conservation of energy.
- Fermi took up this idea, developing a model that incorporated the postulated particle, which he named the "neutrino".
- His theory, later referred to as Fermi's interaction and now called weak interaction, described one of the four fundamental interactions in nature.
- Through experiments inducing radioactivity with the recently discovered neutron, Fermi discovered that slow neutrons were more easily captured by atomic nuclei than fast ones, and he developed the Fermi age equation to describe this.

FAQ
- What is Enrico Fermi's birth card?
- The 8 of Hearts. September 29 maps to that card through the public Card Blueprints formula. The year of birth is not used.
- Does a birth card predict a Nobel Prize?
- No. These pages are coordinates, not fortune-telling. A birth card names a calendar day in a 52-card year. It does not forecast prizes, character, or fate.
- Where do Enrico Fermi's dates come from?
- Birth date 1901-09-29 is the Nobel Prize API v2.1 day-precision date, verified against Wikidata P569 (CC0, day precision, Gregorian preferred). The two sources match. Year-only Nobel dates and Nobel↔Wikidata conflicts are dropped, not guessed. Page hooks and evidence come from the Wikipedia REST summary (CC BY-SA 4.0).
