Niels K. Jerne's Birth Card: The 8 of Hearts
The Emotional Powerhouse
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a Nobel Prize.
In the record
Niels Kaj Jerne, FRS (23 December 1911 – 7 October 1994) was a Danish immunologist. The birth-card coordinate for December 23 is the 8 of Hearts — a calendar position, not a forecast of the 1984 Physiology or Medicine prize.

Shared with César Milstein (A♦), Georges J.F. Köhler (4♦). The award was divided; this laureate's listed portion is 1/3.

The 8 of Hearts coordinate
Niels K. Jerne's birthday maps to the 8 of Hearts (The Emotional Powerhouse). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a Nobel Prize and not a verdict on Niels K. Jerne. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You hold the emotional room without taking it over. People know where they stand.
Niels K. Jerne in the public record
He shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1984 with Georges J. F. Köhler and César Milstein "for theories concerning the specificity in development and control of the immune system and the discovery of the principle for production of monoclonal antibodies". Jerne is known for three significant ideas. Firstly, instead of the body producing antibodies in response to an antigen, Jerne postulated that the immune system already has the specific antibodies it needs to fight antigens. Secondly, it was known that the immune system learns to be tolerant to the individual's own self. Jerne postulated that this learning takes place in the thymus. Thirdly, it was known that T cells and B cells communicate with each other.

Where the record meets the 7 of Spades
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Niels K. Jerne, and not a forecast of a Nobel Prize.

Birth card from the month and day. Karma cards are fixed to the birth card. The planetary ruling card comes from the sun sign's ruling planet — the signs with two rulers carry two. The Life Spread is the birth card's fixed row of nine in the Life Spread — the cards that colour each 52-day period for life. Planetary period and long-range cards move year by year and are not shown on a static page.

Also on the record
- Jerne's network theory proposed that the active sites of antibodies are attracted to both specific antigens (idiotypes) and to other antibodies that bind to the same site.
- The antibodies are in balance, until an antigen disturbs the balance, stimulating an immune reaction.
