Lars Onsager's Birth Card: The 6 of Hearts
The Devoted Caregiver
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict a Nobel Prize.
In the record
Lars Onsager (27 November 1903 – 5 October 1976) was a Norwegian American physical chemist and theoretical physicist. The birth-card coordinate for November 27 is the 6 of Hearts — a calendar position, not a forecast of the 1968 Chemistry prize.
Nobel Prize record

1968 — The Nobel Prize in Chemistry
“for the discovery of the reciprocal relations bearing his name, which are fundamental for the thermodynamics of irreversible processes”
No one else in this set holds the 1968 Chemistry prize; Lars Onsager appears here as its sole listed laureate. The award was divided; this laureate's listed portion is 1.
190 other Chemistry laureates in this set carry a birth-card coordinate.
The 6 of Hearts coordinate
Lars Onsager's birthday maps to the 6 of Hearts (The Devoted Caregiver). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day), and the year is unused. It is not a prediction about a Nobel Prize and not a verdict on Lars Onsager. The card's own language, quoted as system copy rather than biography: You care for people without disappearing. Help comes from a full plate, not an empty one.
Lars Onsager in the public record
He held the Gibbs Professorship of Theoretical Chemistry at Yale University. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1968. Lars Onsager was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway. His father was a lawyer. After completing secondary school in Oslo, he attended the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH) in Trondheim, graduating as a chemical engineer in 1925. While there he worked through A Course of Modern Analysis, which was instrumental in his later work. In 1925 he arrived at a correction to the Debye-Hückel theory of electrolytic solutions, to specify Brownian movement of ions in solution, and during 1926 published it. He traveled to Zürich, where Peter Debye was teaching, and confronted Debye, telling him his theory was wrong.

Where the record meets the 4 of Clubs
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Lars Onsager, and not a forecast of a Nobel Prize.

Planetary ruling card, karma and Life Spread
Birth card from the month and day. Karma cards are fixed to the birth card. The planetary ruling card comes from the sun sign's ruling planet — the signs with two rulers carry two. The Life Spread is the birth card's fixed row of nine in the Life Spread — the cards that colour each 52-day period for life. Planetary period and long-range cards move year by year and are not shown on a static page.
Systematic thinking and organizational ability
He held the Gibbs Professorship of Theoretical Chemistry at Yale University.

Also on the record
- He impressed Debye so much that he was invited to become Debye's assistant at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH), where he remained until 1928.
- In 1928 he went to the United States to take a faculty position at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.
- At JHU he had to teach freshman classes in chemistry, and it quickly became apparent that, while he was a genius at developing theories in physical chemistry, he had little talent for teaching.
- He was dismissed by JHU after one semester.

FAQ
- What is Lars Onsager's birth card?
- The 6 of Hearts. November 27 maps to that card through the public Card Blueprints formula. The year of birth is not used.

- No. These pages are coordinates, not fortune-telling. A birth card names a calendar day in a 52-card year. It does not forecast prizes, character, or fate.
- Where do Lars Onsager's dates come from?
- Birth date 1903-11-27 is the Nobel Prize API v2.1 day-precision date, verified against Wikidata P569 (CC0, day precision, Gregorian preferred). The two sources match.
