Ma Lin's Birth Card: The 6 of Diamonds
The Generous Provider
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict an Olympic medal.

Summer Olympic gold record
Wikidata records 2 Summer Olympic gold medals in table tennis for People's Republic of China across 2008. Only Summer Games gold medals count here. Winter-only careers and single-gold athletes are out of this pack. The medal list is a public award record for Ma Lin (Q317851), not a reading of character. 2008: gold in table tennis at the 2008 Summer Olympics – men's singles in table tennis. 2008: gold in table tennis at the 2008 Summer Olympics – men's team in table tennis.

The 6 of Diamonds coordinate
Ma Lin was born February 19 (1980-02-19). Month 2 and day 19 give solar value 32, which is the 6 of Diamonds (The Generous Provider). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day). The year 1980 is unused. The 6 of Diamonds does not predict Olympic results and is not a verdict on Ma Lin for People's Republic of China. Quoted system copy for the 6 of Diamonds, not a biography of Ma Lin: You move resources toward other people without erasing your own claim. You naturally want to provide for others. Your resources flow toward helping and supporting. You're the one people come to when they need something.
Ma Lin in the public record
Ma learned to play table tennis at age five and became a member of the provincial team in 1990. In 1994, he joined the Chinese national team. Ma is the only male player ever to win Olympic gold in Singles, Doubles and Team. He previously held a professional era record of 5 major titles (4 World Cups and 1 Olympic Gold), having won more World Cups than any other male table tennis player in history. He has since been surpassed by Ma Long, who has won 8 major titles. He has won a total of 18 world championships in his career. Since retiring in December 2013, Ma has been serving as the head coach of the Guangdong provincial table tennis team. He became the head coach of the China National Women's Team in December 2022.

Where the record meets the 3 of Spades
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Ma Lin, and not a forecast of a gold medal.
