Summer Sanders's Birth Card: The 9 of Clubs
The Humanitarian Builder
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict an Olympic medal.

Summer Olympic gold record

The 9 of Clubs coordinate
Summer Sanders was born October 13 (1972-10-13). Month 10 and day 13 give solar value 22, which is the 9 of Clubs (The Humanitarian Builder). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day). The year 1972 is unused. The 9 of Clubs does not predict Olympic results and is not a verdict on Summer Sanders for United States. Quoted system copy for the 9 of Clubs, not a biography of Summer Sanders: You keep the large view without skipping the next practical step. Your thoughts are about humanity, progress, and possibility. You think in big pictures and universal principles. Your mind is oriented toward uplift.
Summer Sanders in the public record
Sanders was born in Roseville, California, and attended Cavitt Junior High School and Oakmont High School. By age three, Sanders could swim a lap of the pool. She wanted to be just like her older brother Trevor, so in 1976 she joined the Sugar Bears—an age-group swimming program in Roseville, California, coached by Mike Barsotti, Scott Winter and Scott O'Conner. From there she jumped to the Sierra Aquatic Club with coach Ralph Thomas, and finally to California Capital Aquatics under coach Mike Hastings. At age 15, Sanders drew real attention from the swimming world when she barely missed earning a spot on the 1988 Olympic Team, finishing third in the 200-meter individual medley. In her first international meet, she won a silver medal in the 200 individual medley behind Lin Li of China at the 1989 Pan Pacific Championships. At the 1991 Pan Pacific Championships, she won the 400-meter individual medley (beating Lin Li) and the 200-meter butterfly. In 1991, Sanders enrolled at Stanford University to swim under Hall of Fame coach Richard Quick.

Where the record meets the 9 of Clubs
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Summer Sanders, and not a forecast of a gold medal.
