Cardology for Coworkers and Teams

Hearts colleagues work through people: morale, loyalty, the human texture of the team. Diamonds track value: budgets, priorities, whether the effort is worth it. Clubs produce ideas and words, many words. Spades put their heads down and build.

A team stacked in one suit leans predictably. All Clubs, no Spades: brilliant plans, late launch. All Spades, no Hearts: everything delivered except anyone sticking around.

The positions that run hottest at work are Mars and Saturn. A Mars colleague is your natural sparring partner. Motivating on a shared goal. Exhausting in a turf war. A Saturn boss grades harder than the org chart asks for. A Saturn report is strangely hard to correct without it landing heavy.

Knowing a pairing is positionally charged changes how you take it. The friction stops looking like a character flaw. It starts looking like a current you can manage. Less personal. Still annoying.

Workplace card reading is for your own understanding first. Calculating colleagues' cards from public birthdays for private reflection is one thing. Announcing diagnoses in the Monday meeting is another.

The standing limit applies harder at work. Cards are reflection language. They are not grounds for hiring, reviews or any personnel decision. Ever.
