Gao Ling's Birth Card: The 9 of Diamonds
The Universal Provider
A birth card is a calendar coordinate for the month and day. It is not fortune-telling and does not predict an Olympic medal.
In the record
Gao Ling (Chinese: 高崚; pinyin: Gāo Líng; born 14 March 1979) is a Chinese former badminton player. The birth-card coordinate for March 14 is the 9 of Diamonds — a calendar position, not a forecast of Gao Ling's 2 Summer Olympic gold medals in badminton.
Summer Olympic gold record
Wikidata records 2 Summer Olympic gold medals in badminton for People's Republic of China across 2000 and 2004. Only Summer Games gold medals count here. Winter-only careers and single-gold athletes are out of this pack. The medal list is a public award record for Gao Ling (Q236336), not a reading of character. 2000: gold in badminton at the 2000 Summer Olympics – mixed doubles in badminton. 2004: gold in badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics – mixed doubles in badminton.
- 2000 badminton at the 2000 Summer Olympics – mixed doubles (badminton)
- 2004 badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics – mixed doubles (badminton)
The 9 of Diamonds coordinate
Gao Ling was born March 14 (1979-03-14). Month 3 and day 14 give solar value 35, which is the 9 of Diamonds (The Universal Provider). Card Blueprints treats that as a 365-day coordinate: solar value = 55 − (2 × month + day). The year 1979 is unused. The 9 of Diamonds does not predict Olympic results and is not a verdict on Gao Ling for People's Republic of China. Quoted system copy for the 9 of Diamonds, not a biography of Gao Ling: You give in a way you can sustain, and you let someone give back. You think about resources in terms of universal good and human need. You want to provide for humanity. Your vision is about abundance for all.
Gao Ling in the public record
Noted for her consistency, anticipation, forecourt prowess, and sporting smile, Gao is one of the most successful doubles players in the history of women's badminton. Her four Olympic badminton medals are the most of any player. She has won titles at almost every top tier tournament in the world. Gao has earned four gold medals (among nine medals in total) at the BWF World Championships, three of them in women's doubles with Huang Sui (2001, 2003, and 2006) and one of them in mixed doubles with Zhang Jun (2001). She and Zhang Jun won consecutive gold medals in mixed doubles at the 2000 and 2004 Olympics, overcoming severe tests in both. Gao has not earned an Olympic gold medal in women's doubles, a relative gap in her resume, but earned a bronze medal in 2000 with Qin Yiyuan, and a silver medal with Huang Sui in 2004. From 2001 through 2006 she and Huang captured a record six consecutive women's doubles titles at the venerable All-England Championships. Their All-England streak was finally broken in the semifinals of the 2007 tournament by fellow countrywomen Zhang Yawen and Wei Yili.

Where the record meets the 2 of Spades
A card is a calendar coordinate, not a cause. What follows sets one line of the card's own published language beside one sentence of the sourced record, paired by a documented rule. It is a resemblance offered for the reader to weigh — not a claim about Gao Ling, and not a forecast of a gold medal.
